Meet Christine, founder of First Light Speech Therapy

First Light Speech Therapy is founded by Christine Dotzenrod Childress, MS, CCC-SLP. Christine brings over a decade of experience providing and guiding effective services to students of all ages. Prior to being a speech therapist, Christine worked in education as a middle-school and secondary English teacher and preschool AmeriCorps literacy coach. She has a background in preschool through high school services, is passionate about literacy, communication and cognition for all individuals, and committed to supporting therapists and staff in the schools.

Christine wanted to create a company that understands and values the work of speech-language pathologists while serving the state of North Dakota. North Dakota has always been home for Christine, and ensuring that students and schools have access to high quality services is dear to her heart.

Christine is a certified ASHA member, as well as a member of the North Dakota Speech Language Hearing Association and serves on the Legislative and Clinical Affairs committees.
